ISO 24712 8601 Information Technology Interchange

The International Standard includes a set of test pages in a standard format that can be used for testing the efficiency of colour toner cartridges and color ink cartridges. This test suite is not intended to print photos instead, it is intended to offer a sample of consumer pages. The ISO/IEC 19798 as well as ISO/IEC 2471 documents provide specific information about how to utilize these pages.
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (the International Electrotechnical Commission) make up the special system for worldwide standardization. Through technical committees, which deal specific technical areas the national bodies that belong to IEC or ISO participate in the development and maintaining of International Standards. ISO and IEC technical committees cooperate in areas of mutual concern. Through ISO/IEC, other international organizations, both governmental and non-governmental, are involved in this effort. ISO/IEC JTC 1 has been created as an inter-technical committee for information technology. International Standards will be drafted according to the ISO/IEC Directives.
Part 2. The primary task of the joint technical committee is to develop International Standards.

The draft International Standards that the joint technical committee has adopted have been given to national bodies to seek their approval. Publication of an International Standard is subject to approval by at minimum 75 percent of the national bodies that have a vote. It is important to be aware that patent rights might be granted for certain elements of this document. See ISO International Standards for more info.

IEC and ISO are not responsible for the identification of the patent rights of any of these. Joint Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC1 was responsible for ISO/IEC 24712, which was prepared by Subcommittee SC28 Information technology. The second edition replaces and cancels that of the original edition (ISO/IEC 24712:2006).

Test pages in color to determine the loss of consumables from office equipment 1 Scope. The objective of the International Standard is to create colour test sheets for measuring the consumable loss. The test page set includes four "customer" type documents as well as one "diagnostic" page. It can be used to determine the end of toner or ink consumable life. These pages can be used for electro-photographic, inkjet printers and multi-function devices that have a digital printing path, i.e. A machine that is all-in-one and can print digitally.

The International Standard provides a series of test pages which can be used for consumable yield testing. These pages are able to be used in accordance with ISO/IEC 19798 and ISO/IEC 2471. These pages represent typical types of documents that are used in the office or at home. They are not intended to reflect photo printing or any other special applications. 2. Reference to normative The following documents are required to the application. See iso 8601 for details.

Only the version which has been referenced is accepted for references with a date. For undated refers, the latest edition of the referenced document (including modifications) is the one to use. ISO/IEC798, Method for determining toner cartridges yield for colour printers.
